2. Scope
This Policy applies to information collected through our website, customer accounts, quote and project forms, online shop, local-pickup and shipping workflows, emails, telephone calls, and other direct interactions with Tweak Printing. It does not govern independent websites or services that publish their own privacy notices.
3. Information We Collect
Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:
- Identity and contact information, including name, business or organization, email, phone number, billing address, shipping address, and preferred contact method.
- Account information, including account identifiers, authentication status, preferences, and account activity. Password authentication is handled through our authentication provider; we do not intend to store readable passwords.
- Quote and order information, including product type, dimensions, quantities, materials, colors, budget, deadlines, delivery preferences, approvals, payments, order status, and correspondence.
- Customer content, including artwork, logos, photographs, documents, text, brand assets, instructions, uploaded file names and metadata, and feedback.
- Payment and transaction information. Payments may be processed by Stripe or another disclosed payment provider. We receive transaction status and limited payment details, but we do not intend to store complete payment-card numbers.
- Device and usage information, such as IP address, browser, device type, referring pages, pages viewed, timestamps, cookie identifiers, and diagnostic or security events.
- Communications and marketing preferences, including support messages, project communications, consent records, and unsubscribe choices.
4. Sources of Information
We collect information directly from you; automatically from your browser or device; from people authorized to act for your business or organization; and from service providers involved in authentication, payments, hosting, analytics, shipping, communications, fraud prevention, and project fulfillment.
If you submit information about another person, you represent that you are authorized to provide it for the relevant project or transaction.
5. How We Use Information
- Prepare, revise, and respond to quote requests.
- Create accounts and authenticate users, including through Google sign-in.
- Review artwork, prepare proofs, manufacture products, fulfill orders, and provide pickup or shipping.
- Process payments, refunds, taxes, disputes, and fraud checks.
- Send transactional messages about quotes, approvals, production, payments, shipping, pickup, account security, and policy changes.
- Send promotional messages when permitted by law and consistent with your preferences.
- Maintain records, enforce our agreements, protect rights and safety, prevent abuse, and comply with legal obligations.
- Operate, secure, troubleshoot, analyze, and improve our website and services.
7. Key Technology Providers
Our planned service providers include Supabase for database, authentication, and file storage; Google for optional account authentication; Stripe for payment processing; and hosting, email, analytics, shipping, or production providers selected as the website is activated. These providers process information under their own terms and privacy notices as well as their agreements with us.
Information may be processed in the United States and other countries where our providers operate. Canadian customers should understand that information transferred to the United States may be accessible to U.S. authorities when legally required.
9. Email and Marketing Choices
Project, order, security, and account emails are transactional and may be sent when necessary to provide requested services. Promotional emails are optional. You can unsubscribe through the message link or by contacting us. Unsubscribing from promotions does not stop essential transaction or account communications.
For recipients in Canada, we will seek express or otherwise legally sufficient consent, identify the sender, maintain consent records, and provide a working unsubscribe method as required by Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation.
10. Retention
We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, including providing services, maintaining transaction and tax records, resolving disputes, enforcing agreements, preventing fraud, preserving proof approvals, and meeting legal obligations. Retention periods vary based on the information, project status, contractual commitments, legal requirements, and whether an account remains active.
Deletion requests may not immediately remove information from secured backups or records we must retain for legitimate legal, accounting, security, warranty, or dispute purposes.
11. Security and Breach Response
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards appropriate to the nature of the information we handle. No transmission or storage system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Customers are responsible for protecting their credentials and promptly reporting suspected account misuse.
If a qualifying data breach occurs, we will investigate and provide notifications as required by applicable law, including the Illinois Personal Information Protection Act.
12. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, portability, restriction, withdrawal of consent, or information about our handling of personal information. You may also appeal certain decisions or complain to a privacy regulator.
Submit a request to legal@tweakprinting.com. We may verify your identity and authority before acting. We will not unlawfully discriminate against you for exercising privacy rights. Some information may be exempt, and certain requests may be denied or limited when permitted by law.
Canadian residents may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada after first giving us an opportunity to address a concern. U.S. state-specific rights apply only when the relevant law covers our business and the particular processing activity.
13. Children’s Privacy
Our website and customer accounts are intended for adults and are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information online from children under 13 without legally required parental consent. Contact us if you believe a child submitted information improperly.
14. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy as our services, providers, or legal obligations change. The current version and effective date will appear on this page. When required, we will provide additional notice or obtain consent before materially different processing begins.
